Can You Mix CBD E Liquid with E Liquid?

As the popularity of vaping itself and CBD in any form continues to rise many people are interested in combining these two. The reason is obvious: enjoying their potential benefits. But can you mix CBD e-liquid with regular e-liquid like a flavour shot? The simple answer is yes - mixing CBD e-liquid with other e-liquids is not only possible but also relatively easy.

Combining two e-liquids allows you to create a personalised vaping experience that suits your preferences. However it is important to note that while it is possible - we don't recommend or endorse mixing CBD with nicotine - or nicotine vaping in general.

Key Takeaways

  • Mixing CBD e-liquid with normal e liquid is possible and easy
  • Combination allows for a personalised vaping experience
  • We do not recommend mixing CBD and nicotine

Can You Mix CBD E Liquid with E Liquid?

YES you can mix CBD e-liquid with your regular e-liquid like a flavour shot. Mixing the two allows you vape CBD in combination with your favourite flavoured juice. However there are some points we want you to keep in mind before you start mixing.

First ensure the compatibility of the e-liquids! While the majority will be based on propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG) some are water-soluble while others are oil-based. Mixing those fundamentally different types of e-liquids may not result in a homogeneous mixture and could affect the function of your vape device.

Determine the concentration of CBD you want in your e-liquid before you start mixing. If you're new to CBD vaping start with a low concentration and gradually increase it if needed. If you already vape CBD go for your usual amount of CBD per ml. Be careful about the type of CBD liquid you use. If it is made with CBD isolate it will not have a strong herbal taste. However if it is full-spectrum CBD and contains terpenes from the cannabis plant it might have a stronger taste and too much CBD may negatively affect the taste and consistency of your vape.

Lastly remember that even though CBD was shown to have various benefits - mixing CBD e-liquid with your regular vape juice won't make it "healthy" or a medical solution. Vaping CBD is not a cure-all. If you have an underlying medical condition you wish to treat or already taking prescription medication talk to your doctor before starting to buy CBD.

Can you Mix CBD Oil with E Liquid?

It's fundamental to understand the difference between CBD oil and CBD vape oil before attempting to mix them! CBD oil is typically based on vegetable oils like MCT oil and is designed for oral consumption or topical application. CBD vape oil on the other hand is specially formulated for inhalation through vape devices.

You should not mix conventional CBD oil and e-liquid, as inhaling vegetable oils when vaped can be harmful to your health. To use CBD with your vaping device, it's essential to use a product specifically designed for that purpose!

Harmony offers a range of CBD vape liquids that are compatible with most vaping devices. These products are formulated with propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin (typical e-liquid components) ensuring safe and efficient vaporisation while exploring the effects of CBD.

How to Mix CBD Oil with E Liquid

Mixing CBD oil with e-liquid (the vaping oil of course) can be a great way to consume CBD while using your favourite vaping device. All you need is a vape pen or vaping device, your choice of e-liquid and CBD oil designed for vaping.

At Harmony we offer a product called Pure Base. This CBD booster is made with pure CBD and propylene glycol (PG). It has absolutely no taste of its own and blends seamlessly with other e-liquids. It comes in a super strong 1000mg version enabling you to add the CBD amount you wish to any type of e-liquid to create your very own customized vape CBD oil.

One simple thing to do before you get started mixing is to check the ratio of vegetable glycerine (VG) and propylene glycol (PG) in your chosen e-liquid. We recommend not to go over 3 parts VG per 7 parts of PG to ensure the CBD is dissolving properly. The more CBD you add, the more important this becomes. This combination ensures a smooth vaping experience and makes it easier to mix CBD oil with your e-liquid.

Simply fill your vape tank with the desired amount of CBD (using isolate, Pure Base or another CBD vape shot) and add the e-liquid of your choice. If you are using CBD isolate it might take a while to dissolve - especially at higher amounts. This is where Pure Base comes in particularly handy as it is pre-dissolved and your mix can be used for vaping immediately.

Once you've mixed your CBD oil with the e-liquid in your vape tank your vaping device is ready and you can enjoy the effects of CBD while vaping your favourite e-liquid.

Understanding CBD and E-liquids

CBD (or cannabidiol) is a natural compound found in cannabis and hemp plants. Unlike THC, CBD does not produce a high or any intoxication [1] or dependence and has been reported to have various potential health benefits [2]. CBD e-liquids - also known as CBD vape juice or CBD vape oil - are made specifically for use in vaping devices. Inhaling CBD vapour adds CBD directly into the bloodstream allowing you to feel the effects of CBD faster than compared to other methods of ingestion [3].

Vape e-liquids, vape pods or vape kits come in a variety of flavours but usually don't contain nicotine - the active chemical in tobacco products. When purchasing CBD it is essential to go for high-quality CBD products from reputable companies to ensure a safe and effective experience.

In the UK and EU there are regulations in place to ensure the safety and quality of both CBD and e-liquids (especially regarding the allowed amount of THC, the psychoactive compound in cannabis). Follow the guidelines and source your products from reputable suppliers to minimise potential risks when you want to vape CBD. Remember to always consult with a medical professional before starting any new supplement or treatment plan - including the use of CBD.
